Black Snail

New tank (~5 months) and saw this guy for the very first time during my nightly inspection. I saw on another forum that it may be a scutus aka elephant snail. Can I get a positive ID? Seems to be shy as I shined my flashlight on him and he we straight for a little cave to hide.

Edit: a little more research and I’m thinking this is a black stomatella. Funny cause I found a white one two nights ago... didn’t know they came in black. Can anyone confirm if I am correct?
