Hello everyone!!!
I’ve had my lemon drop for about 1 month now, and I just noticed recently that he has a black spot on one side of his gills..... just wondering if this is something to be concerned with, and how to take care of it if need be! Thanks for all your help!!! Sorry I couldn’t get a better pictures, he moves fast!

Does it look like a wound? There’s a variety of lemon peel angels from the Indian Ocean that have a black mark behind the gill. You may have an Indian Ocean variety.

It definitely doesn’t look like a wound, it’s just kinda there..... doesn’t stick out or look like it’s bothering him in anyway. He swims just fine, eats just fine... so glad that it’s probably not anything to worry about!!! Thanks for the reply!!!

Had this happen to my clowns a while back. Looks like this possibly?

No, this spot is more like on the topside of his gill.... just a little spot.... its weird but not like the clowns (who are super cute BTW)

Darn. They were stung by my elegance coral they tried to host. The coral wasn’t having any of that mess!
