Hi I just noticed a little black spot on one of my white fancy clown fish. Idk if it's bad or what it is but I have never seen it on her before. She seems to be doing fine tho.
But trying to get a picture of it but can't right now. If anyone has any ideas thanks.
And the spot is right by the upper gill

no worries, @moderators @revhtree can assist to move for more attention.

— how long have you had the clownfish?
— any later fish additions?
— does the spot looked raised? like a bump? or flat? (try to observe the fish head-on)
— does the clownfish attempt to rub it off??

it could be “stray” pigmentation as the fish matures ... depends on the variety you have. try to take the clearest pic you can get.

I added a pair to cycle the tank going on almost 2 years now. I added a yellow wrasse month ago. And had a out break of ich I think or fluke and treated with herbtana and it didn't make it. And today I just seen white dots on ryoal grandma again. idk what's going on with that. I added a new t5 set up so maybe that did something. Bit the spot on clown fish looks under the skin. And I will try get a pic but it stays in the btas
