Black spots on clown from coral?

Hi All,

Just need confirmation that the black spots on female clown are sting marks from a coral and not something worse. Thanks in advance!

It could be, but I would do a freshwater dip to check for black ich. Just to be safe.

My clowns also got some black spots randomly and I think it's due to a zoanthus I have in my tank

They appear and disappear randomly

But usually it's in the lower body

Now, more then 3 months later, in my newest and younger clown I got this

And I am watching what he may have

But I see him playing over the zoanthus, so m waiting to see what happens

He eats swim and plays as always. But he came from a place with no corals and a clown breedder says it must be from the zoanthus
And that he will learn not to play with the zoanthus as the oldest did already

But the oldest never had it like this, just one or two spots
Not these several and not just spot areas

And the oldest is completely clean and healthy

Just the other clown. No other fishes have the spots. I'll try freshwater.
