Any one know what this is? It is on both of my clownfish.
I do not have a torch or any other stinging coral.
I do have 2 BTAS that they stay in all day,
Just hoping this is not black ich or crypt...
These are the best pics I could get.

Thanks

I don't know what they are exactly but my orange ocellaris gets them occasionally and they just come and go from time to time. I used to think they were sting marks from the frgospawn he hosts but I'm not sure if that's the case.

I didn't realized frogspawn stung. I havevabout 75 heads in the tank. Right next to the nems.

Euphyllia are pretty potent with their sting and can kill entire colonies of corals with it. I'm not sure that it's the frogspawn causing the black dots, but it does look similar to the marks I get on myself when I get stung by jellyfish in the Gulf of Mexico, just a little pin-prick looking mark on the skin.

Beautiful clowns you have! Im curious to see what is causing the black dots.

It's Hyper-Melanization from the frogspawn's sweepers stinging them at night.
