I can't remember and there's a lot to read through, what meds has he had so far? What would these white spots be that are on my Yellow Tangs pectoral fins now?![]()
If he hasn't been through copper it's possible that it's ich, it could also be lymphocystis. Let's ask @ngoodermuth @HotRocks and @4FordFamily for some helpGeneral cure and metroplex
Chelated copper like copper power is going to be safer for your yellow tang, cupramine is an ionic copper and is risky to use with most tangsWhen I finish the current treatment, do I just start treating with cupramine for the ich?
Can I use kick ich instead?Chelated copper like copper power is going to be safer for your yellow tang, cupramine is an ionic copper and is risky to use with most tangs

What are you thoughts on this @ngoodermuth?

Here is an update on day 33...I still have what appears to be 7 healthy fish. The foxface shows no more black spots, the clownfish are looking good with the bigger one slowly growing his tail back, and the tang with no more white spots on his fins.
My question is, should I still preemptively treat for ich? I never treated for it when the white spots appeared on the tangs fins since they went away shortly after I saw them. I have copper power I can use, and am just wondering if I should treat anyway even though there are no signs of it. I would hate to re introduce something into my DT after I go 76 days fallow.

Sorry about the delayed response, sometimes the notifications don't pop up or they get missed. I think we need advice from @ngoodermuth. It's always good to get rid of ich but I just want to make sure she doesn't think you could run into any issues with copper before I suggest using it.@ngoodermuth @Mjrenz. Any advice?
