Black Spots on my Hawkfish. Never noticed them before but I just recently got lights for my Aquairum and maybe they are more noticeable now? Also added a Pygmy Angel fish in the last week. No behavioral changes any idea what this could be?

The spots are too large to be turbellarian worms. Do you have any stinging corals or anemones in the tank?

Jay

no corals or anemones in my tank. Just live rock and 2 fish.

The pygmy angel could have picked at it, but I just don't think the hawkfish would have sat still and let that happen.

I would agree and I have not witnessed any hostile behavior between the two. They have been pretty friendly.
