Woke up to my naso tang having black spots. He’s been hiding so I thought it was stress. He is now swimming and eating. He always hangs out with my one spot fox face and whenever the tang hides the fox face follows. Kinda weird but I find it funny. New to salt water so please help.

What size tank, water are water parameters, how long have they been stable, how long have you had this fish?

Let’s start there...

100.3 gallons. Took water yesterday for testing everything was fine besides the salinity which was one point too high. Have the tank for 4-5 months, have the fish for 3 months.

Ok, the LFS tested, but what were the numbers?
An OK from fish store is not always OK.
Maybe the start of HLLE?
What’s the diet?
What’s it look like under whites?
Sensitive fish in a young tank.

That’s him in white lights. I will look for the numbers and show you. The diet is “seaweed salad” green marine algae.
