I have just discovered black spots on both of my clowns. This is very disheartening Bc I have treated them several months ago for regular icy. That particular time I went fallow for almost 80 days, qt’d the fish and treated them with copper. Since then they have looked spectacular!

I recently added a RBTA, it’s about 3 inches. It has been in my tank for a week. My tank has been running for almost a year. Parameters are stable at 450/9.5/1400.

Would a FW dip provide more answers? And how? Thanks reef fam!

If you just added a nem, its most likely hypermelonization. If they're rubbing up against a coral or nem they've never rubbed up against before, it can cause the markings your seeing. Can you provide pictures just to make sure?

Wow! This Hobby continues to boggle my mind lol that is really freaking cool. How would a FW dip confirm this? I hope you are right friend! I will keep my eye on them. Fingers crossed!
I wouldn't freshwater dip. It won't confirm hypermelonization. All you can really do is wait for it to go away on its own.
