So I am pretty excited. I asked my LFS to find me a black Sun coral and they did! It's pretty cool with the Green polyps. I have had the regular Sun coral before but not this type. Is there any difference that I need to know about?

My black was very sensitive to handling. So try to be sure to not have to move it a lot

Looking forward to seeing it! I love my sun coral!

Here is the black Sun coral. I have him under a little over hang from my rock. He is on the bottom right in the tank picture. There seems to be some decent flow for it there. It's got about 6 heads, so not bad. He has come out yet, but I am sure he is just acclimating.

Had mine around a year, i find them no different to keep than the standard sun coral but spend more time open.
Hard to get pics of.

Wow just saw this question. It's doing ok. It is not coming out to feed for some reason and has not for about 2 weeks. I'm not seeing any deterioration so I'm just letting it do it's thing.the Orange one is doing spectacular and growing like a weed!
