anyone out there got a blacktail and bristletooth tang in the same tank?
let me know!

You mean a white tail, C. flavicauda?

It's best to consider all in the Ctenochaetus genus to be bristetooth. Mixing tangs in the same genus is generally a gamble, or okay, depending mostly on tank size.

bariene tang

Oh. Those two will mix fine, as long as the tank is big enough for the bariene, which can get a good foot long not counting the streamers on the caudal fin.
housing bariene temporarily for a friends 400 gallon bristletooth will be a permanent resident

Temporary, or quarantine, or whatever changes things. How big is the tank, and do you know how big the bariene will come in?
