Black tang vs chevron tang

You will need at least a 220 to keep that chevron don't know if i ever seen a black tang though.

Both will be just as easy if all your ducks are in a row. Fed correctly, correctly sized tank, and compatible tank mates.

Shooting from the hip with minimal info, i'd say Chevron over a Black Tang for sure. Black tangs can get pretty aggressive. Chevron will help clean the tank as it is a bristle tooth. It will eventually turn black with white pin stripes, which i am part of the minority that thinks it looks just as nice. :)

You would need to upgrade that tank in about 1 year with either choice. I have a juvie Chevron that is awesome, I too like how they look as adults (which is why I got it),

My tank is one and half year old

I just lost my Chevron, he was not that old, but his color had turned quite a bit...
He was an outstanding fish...

If you have the right size tank, I'd go chevron...

I don't recommend a black tang in anything below 150 gallons. I have a customer has got one from me about 4 months ago in their 400 gallon. He's massive. One of the largest I've ever seen. They named him Johnny Cash. You have to really keep an open mind when adding a fish like that the black shows ich no matter if its coming or going and they almost always have a speck. So if you see one you can't just go rooting around to catch it and stress it out more. And excellent varied diet of greens and vitamin additives is highly recommended when having a fish like that. I also used to have one for 7 years in my stores 1200 gallon display. They are my no. 1 favorite tang of them all.

The black tang will be more aggressive and a larger fish in the end.
The chevron tang is a little more friendly.
Both tangs will need atleast a 6ft tank. Maybe bigger for the black tang.

Well... that seems rather racist.
