Black tank surface Attract hard Green Algae..keep or scrape?

Help to ID.
Tank is going on 8 months.
I've got minimal hard coralline in glass in pic too-not that.
What is the green type circular shaped growth that is so attracted to the black background of a tank??
Is this where the unbreakable scrubber demonstration I saw at the TBRC frag show today comes in handy?
Is there any advantage to keeping?
What will it grow out to look like if kept-post a pic if you have. Thx.

Try doing a search for coraline algae. It's a pain to clean. Other than that no big deal.

Coralline algae comes in a rainbow of colors. Purple is most common in most of our tanks, but there are also orange, wine-red, blue ... and green.

Its because the plastic has a different surface texture than glass

Yea, it's just green coralline. IMO it looks ugly so I would scrape it off. It will come back, but just catch it before it gets to where your at, if you don't like it. But its not bad.
I'm not sure if it's surface texture or material difference that cause green coralline, but I am not sure, I'll be following to see if anyone knows.
