I am looking to replace a few fans in my blackbox LED fixtures. I blew a fan in one fixture so I replaced that fixture, but the fans are super noisy in the new unit. Not the end of the world, but I need to replace the bad fan, so I might as well buy a bunch at a time.

The fans in the original fixture are no longer available, so...

Any recommendations on 80mm fans?

Don't know if this helps, but I saw a video a while back of a guy who replaced the fans in his mars aqua

Hope this helps! :D

Yeah, that's exactly the feedback I was looking for...

I dug a bit further into this and it looks like my original fans are a lower amperage (.1a) compared to the new fixture which has .2a fans. There are no other specifications, but it seems logical to me that the higher amperage fan would be louder. Hence the low amperage in the fan you posted.

I replaced my refugium light (evergrow S2) with an 80mm Noctua fan I had from an old PC build. Dead silent, but they're probably still rather pricey retail.
