I’ve had my blackbox led mounted 23” above waterline for around a month now anyone think that’s way to higher. Corals seem to be ok but was wounding if it’s possible if I move it down lower if that will cause them to grow faster
 
Depends on what type of coral you have / par light / tank dimensions .. etc
That’s pretty high up though . I had 90 gallon tank with 2 viper spectras 12 above water line and I grew everything very well .
 
I don't know if they will necessarily grow faster but yeah 23" sounds very high to me. Personally I'd lower it, if you need to you can always decrease intensity. Lower power will also extend LED life.
