Was going to upgrade lights to something a little better and ended up pulling the trigger on a pair of Radion G4 Pro lights with diffusers. These have always been my dream light and I "was" going to settle for something cheaper, but somehow I got a thumbs up from the Admiral! I am beyond excited and have been reading and watching videos all day today. So My current setup is a 4 foot 18" deep mixed reef. I have two Ocean revive lights 12" above the water running 95% blue 20% white I am going to run the G4's 11" above the surface based on the BRS video. I dont have a PAR meter but will eventually rent one local but I do however have my current par readings below. The question I have is what intensity should I start at using the AB+ setting? I was thinking about starting at 30% with the acclimation mode on slowly raising it to 70-80% with diffuser on. As I understand it these lights are really strong but the OR's are pretty strong also so I am not sure where a good starting point for a blackbox is.

I know others are using these somewhere...heres a bump to get their attention...

I ended up changing my order last minute to reefi lights but it’s the same concept. The way I did it is I used a par meter to set the new lights so that I was getting the par I wanted in each area of the tank. Then I dialed them down 30% and put them in acclimation mode so that they will work up to 100% over 30 days. This doesn’t help much if you don’t have a par meter though. It’s hard to do since the added UV adds so much and you can’t tell visually.
