Turns out i've been in dino denial...
Last few months i've had a recurring mat of brown on my substrate.
I originally put it down to diatoms, after adding a new pump today the tell tale 'stringys' became apparent.

My plan is to...
Add a variety of beneficial bottled bacteria,
Bump up feeding
Stop water changes for the short term
Run some black-outs

Question relates to the blackout - should i adjust the profile on my AI prime to just low blues so the corals don't suffer or is that detrimental to the purpose of a blackout?
Lighting profile attached showing it at its peak - should i pull white back entirely, roughly what levels for the others?

Tank is a 15g all in one. Three fish and some soft corals.

Cheers

What corals do you have in there? SPS? LPS? Softies? A mix?

So have you ID your Dinos yet with a microscope? How do you know blackout will help at all? It depends on strains

Softies only, LPS coming soon, though might hold until I get some progress with this.

As for ID, no, just comparing what if got with other forum posts.

I have done a blackout for 3 or so days in my 15g nano (Technically it’s a 20g however, 5G is in the back of the tank for filter) and it has two ricordea. It was fine however, the fish were slightly confused for the first around 1 hour of blackout then got used to it

If you change your mind here is something will help attached. You can save time and money. My experience blackout itself will be no help
