Hi i was just wondering if anyone else has had a blasto bounce before. Pretty annoying to be honest as i love this coral.

Most of the time this is caused by too much light but it's possible there could be another cause if its been in the same spot for a long time.

Thats a great article Thank you. It cant be light with mine as i said its been there for a few years with the same lights and no fiddling with them. I thought previously maybe its a defence mechanism but all that surrounds it are zoa's which again is nothing new, as you can tell from the pic its a mature tank. The genetic side sounds interesting though.
 
That's kind of what I was getting at with the article, overall it seems like its unknown what exactly can cause it but genetics may play a roll. Really interesting though
 
I completely agree with that. You can see the one to the left of it is just starting to bounce but the rest of the colony hasnt yet.
