So I’ve been looking and can only seem to find results for corals being eaten by crabs and not the other way around. But, lo and behold, I watched my Blasto (I think, I’m new to this) eat a blue-legged crab today!

I can’t imagine how it happened but I witnessed the legs of the crab sticking out of the corals mouth and watched it slowly disappear inside.

anyone see this before? Common?

So the crab just molted off this shell and the coral caught it?

yeah most likely, unless you see a shell somewhere around the bottom of the coral. Hermits are very good at retracting when there's danger. And since they have an exoskeleton, I don't see how a coral could "sting" them.

I had a peppermint shrimp get eaten by an Acan. It wasn’t a molt.
