I have a number of blasto colonies and all are doing well. I do feed them on average on a weekly basis.

This particular blasto is a unique piece and is somewhere closer to a merletti blasto but the size of it and color may be closer to regular blasto in a few cases.

This colony has been loosing tissues across 3-4 polyps; about 3 more weeks ago. At the same time there are a number of additional new polyps that are emerging in between those polyps and underneath the two large polyps.

my average parameters:
Nitrate : 5ppm (this may be high for some but has been something this tank with the heavy feeding i do for all the blasto, acans and flower anemones seem to more or less settle on if I maintain my maintenance.
ALK: 8.6-9
Cal: 460ppm

i don't believe anything is eating it. I have cleaner shrimp within the tank and I do feed it with fish feeding just in case.

Initially I also thought it could be too much water flow but I have this colony surrounded by other small blasto colonies and they're doing fine and growing.

I believe the colony will survive as those remaining headings are extending and eating when feed and there are 4-5 new heads that growing. Today I just moved the colony to the EVO tank for better watching and hopefully I grow it back to health with additional feeding.

Curious if anyone may know if this is something that could happen to blasto or know what may cause something like this? It could be something I am doing or not doing right. Thanks.

anything nearby that will sting it? can you check late night, when lights are off. Is it under high light? How long its been in the tank?

It's been in the tank since early December 2018. It was surrounded by other blasto corals so it was getting the same amount of light intensity as other blasto. I don't think anything nearby would sting it.

You know I did not check for when lights are off. About a week ago I had moved it to a lower light area on the other side of the tank that has a little more space. At this point, tissue seemed to have reduced or no longer happening. I am going more actively check on it.
