hey guys just got my first blastomusa the other day. Was wondering what kinda lighting do they do best in? what placement do you guys have them at? what flow, etc? I'm new to blastos they are such beautiful corals

I have one Blasto. Its pretty beautiful. It is directly under my lighting, not on the outskirts so to speak by on the base of a rock right by the sand. It has grown to more heads and is double the size of when I got it six months ago. Flow there is steady but definitely not direct. I run 4 ATI Blue plus bulbs and two ATI Actinics 8 hours a day and Blue Reef Bright LEDs twice a day for 30 minutes.

Pocket Reef is a great app for your phone. Here is what they recommend:

The Blastomussa Coral is also known as the Branched Cup Coral and makes a great starter coral. They are LPS corals and require high Calcium levels and fairly good lighting. Although photosynthetic, they will benefit from target feeding small meaty foods such as mysis shrimp or chopped seafood.
