My pride and joy besides micros. All of the sudden like, they shrink up, expand back out with a corner receding and just keep receding. 4 different colonies started with 2 now it's all 4 have had these for quite awhile. Levels are good my husbandry is like clock work. Nothing else in the tank affected. Any thoughts? Ever happen to anyone else? No changes to the tank,no critters in the frag tank, just finished last red bug treatment (Were doing this before the treatment). Fish: tomini tang, sailfin tang, blue spine unicorn tang, visbar rabbit. Never seen any of them touch the corals.:angry5::angry5::angry5:

You have alot of tangs.
What size tank and its age?
You say readings are good but whats tested for and there levels?
Do you target feed them?

I have had some for upwards of to years now, where others I only had for months....What kind of light are they under, also how old are the bulbs...Mine have done much better under T5's with 30" of seperation. Maybe the treatment as well..

Also, did they outgrow the rock they were on. I have mounted mine to larger peices twice, and everytime the look better and open up bigger.

i'd say lighting and flow is not choice. something had to have changed in order for this to happen. maybe ph is messed up. joes juice doesnt affect any of my lps except blastos... i lost half a colony of some pretties because i didnt know that.

I've had these for quite sometime. Same placement for quite some time also. It started with one than two & three and now four. Frag tanks been up for two years. 400 watt metal halide, 2 39watt T5's. It's almost like there sick. Now to many Tangs yes. I'm in the process of setting my new 190gal up. Tangs are in prison unfortunately for now. But these Blastos and fish have been together in this system for quite sometime. Placement in tank Lower flow out of direct light.
