Tl;dr: how is my bleached anemone recovery doing? Day 1 vs day 25ish pics below.

Hi guys. A short history, I've gone to this forum many a time as a guest for info regarding saltwater keeping and today I've decided to join. I'm aware there's an introduction thread I'll probably go post there too.

But for the topic at hand, I've had this tank about 8 months now. It's been fowlr for that duration. About 3-4 weeks ago I decided to take the scary plunge to keep a bta.

I went to petco (there's a LFS in a nearby mall that's only open on weekends, just throwing that in) and noticed a white anemone that caught my eye. A novice mistake maybe but I'm a total newbie at this so don't be too hard on me

I did a lot of research on bleached anemones after putting him in and I've been feeding him clam and shrimp slices about every 3 days. I've had it going on a month now. I just wanted to know if, according to you guys, the anemone is well on its way to recovery.

Attached are pictures of it in day 1 (fig 1), the current state of it (fig 2, 3) and A picture I took of my clown enjoying it's company (fig 4 ).

Welcome to r2r! He doesnt look unhealthy to me. It also has purple tips which makes me think condy anemone but at the same time I'm unsure if those can have bubbles like urs did or does have. Does it accept food or does it spit it out? Petco employees often dont know much other than what the tags tell them so it could have been sold to you wrong. hopefully someone with a bit more anemone expertise will reply.

Not seeing a whole lot of difference in color myself in these pics. What kind of lighting are you housing it under now?

You can soak the food in zooplankton to help anemone or just dose is, I use like 2ml a week and it seems to be working for mine to regain color

I currently have a coralife light. At night he has some green biolum to him. Not sure if that makes much of a difference. See attached images.

He accepts the food I give him every time. The first couple times I watched to make sure he wouldn't spit it out and he doesn't seem to, so I think all is good in that department.

Update: got a better, clearer picture of how the anemone is looking now. I guess my main question is, how long will it take for my anemone to go from being bleached to being brightly colored like a normal healthy anemone should be?
