Bleached/brown under 7" x 5" birds nest colony

Hey everyone, I recently rehomed a big 7" x 5" birdsnest, I just got it dipped and put it in the tank last night. I noticed that on the bottom side some of its branches are bleached or browned, but the top side looks super healthy polyps are fully extended is this normal for a big colony?

May be from shading ( area where there is minimal light and flow reaching coral) due to healthy part utilizing those resources

Ok this is what I was thinking, do you think I should cut all the bleached/brown stuff off around the bottom? Or just leave it?

They like a ton of flow. Bottom parts either get shaded or not a lot of flow and die off. Pretty normal looking to me. They are pretty fragile, which you know from moving. I would leave it alone.

It was in the back of the previous owners tank, I have it right in the middle of mine so it has lots of flow now

Birdsnests tend to get bare ankles. And they are lousy at baseing out
