Added T5s a few weeks ago to supplement my Kessils. Started out at 3 hours per day and am now up to 5. A few days ago I noticed a few of my chalices have started to bleach slightly.

Do you guys think I should cut back on my light, move the chalice to a more shaded area or just let it acclimate? Only two chalices have lost color. All of my other coral (sps and softies) are loving the added light.

I would say you have the right idea. Cut back on lights or move to shaded area ether would help. did you try placing a screen or anything under the light to help acclimate? Are both chalices near each other or in separate areas? maybe a possible hot spot in that area.

just throwing some ideas out.

Both are on opposite sides but similar lighting conditions. The other is a Hollywood Stunner and I think it's simply too big to shade. This one I'll move to a shaded area and see if that helps. I'll refrain from extending my T5 photo period until it recovers.
