This guy came in on Thursday (1/19) and he was looking streaky-bleached.

Today (1/21) he is still not looking great, and spat out the krill I offered.

He doesn't look *awful*, and the clarkii that shares the tank with has been protecting and trying to feed him.

Any advice on helping this guy?

(Also, he came in labeled as a long- tentacle, but I think he's a condy)

Hello. Nems don't bleach like that. Try feeding smaller food. I use mysis shrimp and they love it. Easier to break down and almost never spit back. Also, looks like a Condy to me too.

Due to the red foot and speckles underneath, I would guess the M. doreensis or long tentacle. Let it adjust. I would also go with broadcast feeding of mysis. Make sure it has a good sandbed and lots of light, medium flow. These guys can walk a lot when not happy. Cover the powerheads with something to protect them (sponge, egg crate, etc.).

Does not look too bad. Good luck!

Oh, I'm so glad it's just his coloring! [emoji3]

He seems to have dug in, in the corner, and the clarkii loves him. Here he is, today

Good job, Coast Tropical, for sending the store the right thing! [emoji13] [emoji23]
(I still love that they sent me Halloween hermits instead of the dardanus sp that I ordered)

He also sucked up a couple mysis, at feeding time. Yay!
