Got this guy from a buddy , some of the tips have color, and there is polyp extension. I dipped it then placed it on the sand of a typical 150 gal tank. Anything else I can do to try and recover it ? I managed to rescue an across I bleached last summer by placing it low. Any other tips ?

I run led lights
Salinity is at 1.25
PH is 8.2
Dkh is 11
All other spa lps and clam are good and growing.
Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks

From what I am reading, is that you run a healthy tank, and you also have a good plan of starting the coral out low. After a week you can start moving the coral higher in the system.
Again if your system is healthy do not change anything for one coral:)

Thanks for the kind words, I try to keep it healthy l do weekly water changes , watch my feedings etc.
Do you think I should just cut off the good tips n out them in plugs ?

I would. While I've heard of it, I've never experienced a coral not go all the way once it starts to rtn or stn. I've had some success cutting a healthy tip and growing it back from there.

I would turn down the light intensity a bit to help it acclimate. Unless it came from a brighter tank of course. Place it on the bottom and with a healthy tank like yours it might stick through.

What are your no3 and po4 at?
Your all is high and that's fine but if the nutints are low and the light is high you may run into trouble.

But yea. An unhealthy acro may just let go.
Start fragging.
