I purchased 2 green acros about 2 weeks ago I have radion g2s at 60% the acros are on top of tank about a foot below the Radions. Just wondering what would cause them to discolour like this, new to sps.
Params:
Temp 77
Ammonia 0
NO3 0
NO2 0
pH 8
KH 143
Ca 400
PO4 0
Salinity 1.024
*haven't picked up Mg kit yet*

It may have been a shock from the lighting, LEDs are very strong. I've lost a couple SPS by starting them at the top. Since then I start all my corals on the sandbed and slowly work them up the rockwork.

If it's pure bleach, skin intact polyps visible, it can come back. Peeling skin, no chance......

Ok thanks guys, would strong lighting be the reason for browning as well?

Browning is the result of stress (from shipping or pests, etc.) or too much nutrients/not enough light.

If there is any bleaching on a browned out colony, do not move it closer to the light.
