what is causing my corals to bleached, I tried changing my lightning, doing water change more often/less often, putting heater on/off removing all of my chemical filtration/not removing them.
the only thing I could think of is my anemone shrimp is stressing them but this didn't happen before I upgrade my tank, and yes my tank is cycled. Is my aquarium the problem?

no matter what I do, they keep getting worse, my ricordea is shrinking, goniopora not opening, grandis paly bleached and not opening, the only thing that is doing great for some reason is my zoas which is taking over the rock and my favia which is developing new heads, my clownfish is also doing fine no sick ness parasite or anything, the shrimp is being a jerk and eating my curlique anemone, the brittle starfish which is just there being scary but not loosing any tentacles super healthy specimen.

What are the water parameters? What lighting and light schedule do you run?
ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 5 but normally its 10 when i do wc its almost 0
its a 4 gallon tank and i do 90% weekly so ithought other params wont be nescessary? I used to have alot of algae before this happen now theres almost none like no algae growth even if i feed alot i dont get algae growth i only have one turbo snail.

before all of this started, I never used heater before, then on september it got cold but my corals were fine so i bought new heater in petco, while im at petco i bought a bunch of chemical filtration, phosguard (only used for 4 days) purigen (im still using it, it barely turned brown) chemipure elite (only used for 1 month) and a bio stone i put a bunch of it in a single day including the water then i did a 100%wc as usual everytime i do something in my tank i always do wc, then my ricordea started melting 1 by 1, and every time i put coral in it they bleached and die even my gsp died anyway, my temp is at 81 in night and morning 84 in the afternoon

I think you may be shocking the coral with all these adjustments and large water changes. Balance and stability is an important key to the survival rate.

but I thought weekly wc is the key for pico reef, I must say it paid very well, I have coralline algae now and no gha, my tank has been running for 5 months, the liverock has been running for 1.5 year now

update guys my corals are doing ok, atleast that's what I think, after removing my heater,I think my tank is way hotter than I thought it is, it my actually be 86 im not using digital thermometer so yeah lol, anyway, I just feed my rics and they seem to eat it

I think I might have figured it out, my magnesium level is low, I ordered mag test today see if im right, anyway this would explain why I cant grow algaes!! bleaching corals, no algae growth? the corals are not dying, the symbiotic algae is!!

my aquarium is a whack everything seems to be alright and I thought its too good to be true not to have a single algae
