Used the right dose, the white spots appeared within a minute or so. I’ve always used the Red Sea dip, just seems very odd to me? Any idea if if Red Sea dip is somehow harmful against cyphastrea?I’ve Never had an issue with this but if it really was your dip then let it recover, it’ll be fine with time.
with that said, did you use the recommended quantity of dip and for the recommended time? I use Revive coral dip, but I’ve used 2-3x the recommended, amount always for around 5 minutes, and never had any issues with the dip hurting my corals. May not have been the dip… i don’t know.
I would try a short iodine dip for the cyphastrea... May not help, but probably can't hurt at this point. Also after realizing multiple people have experienced this, a email was sent to Red Sea asking for their input. Very curious to see
Straight iodine or diluted? I’ve got a couple of acros hanging on. Trying to at leastI would try a short iodine dip for the cyphastrea... May not help, but probably can't hurt at this point.
Diluted! There are many posts/threads as well as info elsewhere on the web, but my standard "recipe" is to add 1-2 drops at a time to a container of tank water until it's the color of tea... dark, but light enough that you can easily see anything in the container. It doesn't take much... if it's too dark just add more water to dilute.Strai
