Bleaching live rock

Iv recently bought a second hand and not very loved marine tank! I began bleaching the rock a week ago and have noticed plastic like balls over the rock?! They are soft and squishy! Has anyone ever experienced anything like this before or have any ideas on what my next move should be? Thank you

Perhaps a past reefer was super gluing pests on the rocks?
Can you scrape them off?
