Hiii,

I was wondering if anyone has any photos of bleached mushrooms, I can take a look at to try and diagnose something that's happening to a brand new mushroom that's arrived today. (Struggling to get good photos)

The coral I had bought was a very dark blue centre with orange around the sides and skirt. However, it's arrived and it's a got a patch of light blue/white in the centre with no texture there at all (not the mouth) something I have seen in the past with a mushroom that ended up melting away, (this mushroom lost it's colour in the centre then got smaller and smaller until it disappeared.)

I would like to know if this sounds like bleaching or just stress etc. Photos are appreciated. I will try and get some photos after work.

Sounds like it's bleaching but pics would help. (Don't see any attachments)

Keep it low flow and low light to help it recover.

I'll try and get some photos later on. This is all I have at the moment, compared to the sellers photo. As you can see it's a little lighter in the mid section with hardly any texture there.

I see what your saying....

How long ago did you get it?
It arrived about 4 hours ago, it was upside down in the bag, so the mushroom was being squashed by the plate it's on. The water was quite cold, the heat pack wasn't warm. Acclimated it etc, now the lights are just running at 30%, it has been in the tank for 3 hours.

Edit: I've just been to have another look and it appears to be inflating a little bit, thus resulting in the white lessening. Maybe it'a just the foot showing through where it had been squashed?

Update: Finished work and have taken a closer look, only to notice it has actually torn when the coral had been squished. Is any coral dip adequate for bacterial infectiom or do I meed some special iodine dip? Need to know asap! This is now urgent
