Bleaching purigen to long?

So i tried to regenerate my purigen the other day and left it in there to long. Like 3 days long. So i Rinsed it and decholrinated it with alpha multiple times. Then I
rerinsed it with ro water and put it in my tank. Woke up the next morning and all fish are dead. No crabs or shrimp are dead though. I quickly removed the fish, and purigen. And then did a 5 gallon
water change adding alpha.

Any input is appreciated(besides telling my I'm a dumb**)

My question is can I start to add fish again or is there anyway I can check to see if its safe before losing more fish?

Have you tested your params? Also you mentioned doing a 5g water change but how big is your tank?

I suspect you did not thoroughly dry the bag after the bleach soak, thus you put chlorine into your tank.
