Hey everyone so a little help please

Long story short I was in the process of bleaching live rock and I left the rock out in the water too long a few weeks cough cough and Algea started to grow so I want to start the cycle all over.

How long should I leave the rock bleached and what is the steps afterward to make sure I don't bring any bleach into my reef tank.
Thanks very much for any insight!

If I were you I would remove all bio matter on the rock with a scrub brush/hose/power washer. Then soak in a brute can of bleach and water with a power head for a couple of days then rinse in dechlorinated water (Prime) for a couple of days. Then let sit and dry in the sun for a week or more. Between the dechlorinated water bath and sitting dry the chlorine concern should be eliminated. I would maybe do a final rinse in old tank water from a water change as a triple precaution.
