Bleaching Rocks - How to know when there is no bleach remaining

I am start by stating my sense of smell is terrible. I bleached some old rock that had dried. Left the bleach in their for 2 weeks in a 10 parts DO water and 1 part bleach. I then emptied that and then let them soak in RO water. I have drained and refilled the RO water several times. However, I think I can still smell bleach but please read my first statement! I have also poured in a load Seachem Prime on 2 of those water changes. I have tested for Chlorine using a test strip but that showed zero chlorine. I have also let the rocks dry out in sunshine.
So how do I know for sure that all the bleach has gone?

I believe the bleach is gone. And unless you added more bleach to the original soak that you did for 2 weeks, the bleach was gone after 48 to 72 hours. I recall reading that bleach evaporates out of water quite quickly. You may still smell something that you think is bleach, but it's not.

This probably explains why a very old jug of bleach i tried to use was nothing but water left.
