This piece was marked down because when the shop received it, there was already a little tissue recision. I trust this place, they definitely know what they're doing, I've gotten many pieces from them (Barrier Reef Aquariums in Renton, Washington) I don't believe it was negligence on their part. Anyway, it got marked down from 200 to 100, then after the holiday sale discount and a stamp card I had, I only paid about 40. Great deal.

Im wondering what you guys think about the tissue recision. This is my first scolymia so I'm a bit unfamiliar with them. It seems pretty minor, I think. A few small spots with some damage.

The damage is the spots around the ohter edge where the green is missing. Are these corals hardy? Do they bounce back pretty well? What do you think?

Thanks a lot! I'm so glad yours bounced back. They're such gorgeous pieces. Very fascinating and unique. My tank is unfortunately going through a little bacterial bloom right now, so hopefully this guy isn't impacted.

Great deal. Keep it fed and it should do nicely.

Nice! I already fed it some Hikari Coralific this evening and it seemed to love it. How often should I feed these guys? I usually spot feed my other lps about once a week...
Love your profile pic, btw, that's a gorgeous piece.

As it's already been said it will grow back. Depending on the recession the tissue might not grow attached to the bone but might just grow over it.
Low light, stability and good feeding will bring it back to its former glory.

Agree with everyone above... nice scoly and a great deal as well.
