Yay!! What was the main problem? Not tight enough?

Your fish should be fine until tomorrow. If you have pellets or something you can do that.

Did you get pvc glue on that marble countertop ? ;Nailbiting

Great job though, be proud!

I put thread lubricant for pvc pipe on the threads. It was a super slow leak, so it must have just been slowly getting through.

Well I need to run to the store and get some milk for breakfast in the morning, so I don’t mind picking up some shrimp or something.

And I don’t think I got any glue on the counter. Did you see something in a picture I didn’t? I surely hope not. That would suck.

Maybe just the stone.

I haven’t had good luck with my fish eating grocery store seafood, I’m not sure why. But chop it up fine and give it a shot if your worried :)

Lol. No. That’s pvc shavings. Brs said to use a saw to get the best fittings. Honestly. I may just want some shrimp myself? Ever since I thought about it, I’m like, one shrimp for fish, 20 for me.

Okay. This thing is dead quiet!!! Took a while to figure it all out, but I think the plumbing can be considered a success. Now I just have to drain it, push it back to the wall, then fill it with some salt!!!

Well. That video didn’t work. And the quality on the YouTube video is crap, I’ll play with it more tomorrow... but see what you can hear... or hear what you can hear? Lol

That is super quiet!

I know right? Lol. I’m happy. It will be in the living room and I’m not sure anyone would ever know water is moving in it.

Just had a read through of your thread, your build looks almost identical to mine!

What is your build thread? Did you do anything differently.

In my signature. You've seen it, it's the 'not a cube' cube.

I used the eclipse L and a Fiji Cube sump. My overflow is offset to one side so I could 'untangle' the plumbing by having the drains and return lined up with the sump and have things as flush to the wall as possible.

And I made my emergency drain plumbing red just so when non-reefers see it they can ask me why it looks like I have a nuclear reactor underneath my fish tank :p.

You’re right! Was looking through it earlier. This tank is 24x24x25. So it’s not truly a cube either.

I bet that extra 6 inches made it a little bit easier to untangle the plumbing. My return line plumbed put a little further than my overhang naturally, so it worked out well. I know Im going to add some other things to it where I’ll need to get behind the stand also... so I need some work space and the location doesn’t matter about flushness. So all good things. :)

The red pipe is super funny! You’ll have to report back on the reactions.

your tank looks great! i thought i was subscribed but i guess not

what are you doing for lighting/flow? you gotta put those DIY skills to use on a sweet aquascape

Glad you’re following!

I’ve been looking at different scapes people have done for the same size tank to get some inspiration.
I haven’t totally decided on lights or flow yet. I'm just adding a bit at the time. I’ll probably add a fuge light before the actual tank light. I want to make sure I have plenty of copepods going strong.
