I have a stripped blenny, Meiacanthus grammistes, and was wondering if it would get along with a lawnmower blenny, salarias fasciatus, in a 40 gallon tank. Or is that too small of a tank to have 2 blennies in.

Should get along just fine. Don't think I've ever heard of a problem keeping a fang blenny with a combtooth blenny. Only time a problem typically arises is if you try to keep 2 fang blennies or 2 combtooth blennies.

The 2 blennies occupy different niches in aquaria. Grammistes spend more time in the water column, Salarias on the rock work. Grammistes are planktivores, Salarias are algae grazers.

good info. i was thinking about adding a lawnmower blenny with my tail spot but im not sure yet
