My lawnmower blenny has started attacking the poor nassarius snails.

I have had them both together for several months in my BC29. The only think I can think has changed is that I have started adding an algae sheet that the blenny enjoys. There was no algae sheet left on the clip, but the snails both popped up in the area that the clip was in. The blenny eyed them for a minute and then pounced! It was a definite attack. [emoji15]

Any way I can prevent this? The snails are (for some reason [emoji23]) my husband's favorite thing in the tank, and he's very upset they're being attacked!

Do you seriously think he sees them as competition for food?

Haha those rascally nass snails are always getting in the way of a good meal ;)

In my experience when a fish starts picking, it doesn't stop.

You could use some Reef Glue and attach a spear and a shield to their shell. LOL o_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_O

Hahaha! Not a bad idea...

He was mad at my urchin too, and kept swimming all around him while the urchin was eating the seaweed sheet...but he didn't attack the urchin! [emoji23]

Yep, see? That urchin has natural spears all over him. You could get some chopsticks and paint 'em black to look like the urchin spines and I bet the snails will be left alone. LOLOLOL!!!

Post a pic of your little bad ***!

Here he is, looking so innocent...but I'm onto him now

He is very cute. I'd have a hard time being mad at him.
