Hi, I'm in the process of setting up a 55 gallon FOWLR and I was wondering -- is it possible to house a bicolor blenny and a lawnmower blenny together? Please say yes! (There won't be any gobies or other fish of similar shape and size and there'll be plenty of live rock.)

It's always possible, and better chances if both introduced as juveniles and at the same time into QT then to Display. I've had this combination a few times and has worked for me.

Cheers, Todd

I have a Yellow Fang Blenny and a Starry Blenny with no problems at all. I was told as long as they have different body shapes you will be fine.

I put the starry(he is bigger) in a few months after the fang. I have a 75 gallon BTW. The Fang blenny has a swim bladder so he always swimming, the starry does not and is usually resting on rocks, so I think this helps alot. I have not noticed any problems between the 2 at all. the starry picks on other fish though.

Should be ok, even if they fight it won't be till death like other fish, just to establish a territory. That's mainly with other blennies or gobies
