I have had this maroon clown for over a year now. Been happy and healthy the whole time with a blue tang and a six line wrasse. Added another AI prime 16 to the tank and now it seems that he is blind. The other fish are fine. The clown swims towards the smell of food but when he gets close, he bites randomly and can’t seem to find the food. Any ideas? I recently had a temperature spike. Could that have done it?

Flake food. Same food he’s been eating for the last year. The other fish are eating fine. He can’t find it once he gets close.

Could be he is getting used to the new light...funny enough I have just changed my light spectrum the clowns have been acting a little differently yesterday and today, going for food then not eating it, maybe he just needs to settle for a few days.

Yepp. I had a mated pair for 3 yrs. Long story short she appeared to have popeye right after laying eggs so she wasn't eating or swimming like normal.. The male was left to guard the eggs and for some weird reason he died in an 8 hr period. (Possibly was killed but hard to believe he was just as aggressive as her). She appears healed now but is for sure blind.. She perks up at the smell of food but defiantly cant find it unless i drop it in a perfect location.. Bad couple weeks of reefing i am devastated.
