What is this, never have seen anything like it and the rest of the tank inhabitants are super healthy…
These fish are old with nothing whatsoever added in a year. They are in a 150g, only 1 clown, no corals. Only rocks and tank mates ….they have been co inhabitants for years…
pics…pardon the lighting

Yeah the blue light is irritating… I got a kessil cans, even at max white it’s still blue. But those marks are definitely raised… never seen anything like it, fish looks a lil swollen, not eating either AFAIK
can we get a pic in white lights? are those raised or is that the lighting?

Tough to see what this could be. Even under white lights I might not be able to see clearly enough.

If it is a long term captive, there are some chronic issues that come into play - most notably Mycobacterium, fish tuberculosis. Cancer/tumors are another.

Myco is present in literally every aquarium, it can even be isolated from tap water and frozen fish foods. Under good conditions, the fish just fight it off. As fish age, their resistance lowers and Myco can become infective. The symptoms are really varied, depending on the fish tissues invaded by the bacteria.

That said, it is also a convenient thing to blame when nothing else seems to match up!

She’s a lil old, 6 or 7 maybe ( guess) but to my limited knowledge it doesn’t look “ infectious “ but again 1st time seeing this and indeed the scales are raised, but not like “ dropsy” raised … just those patches
…again, not eating
apologies, can’t seem to get the lighting right, got the white channel maxed ….kessils don’t let you do a lot of adjusting :(
