bloated clownfish with bulging eyes

Yea sorry, it definitely looks like it’s on it’s way out. Hopefully someone here can help you out. Change title to “emergency”.

I have two and they are not bottom dwellers.

Edit: The fact that he’s on his side is even worse. If he does pass I am sorry for your loss.

Is he new to the tank? What’s the back story?

What live stock is with him?

Whats the parameters of the tank?

a lot of unknowns.

he didn’t make it. got him in january 21 and treated with metroplex. he was doing fine until sunday when i noticed he was just on that corner seining up and down, when i fed the tank he didn’t respond. after a while he would just lay in the sand and randomly go back to swimming up and down on his corner. all his tank mates are peaceful so he wasn’t getting bullied. i did introduce a small radiant wrasse back in march 13 and did not qt it but so far the rest of my fish are doing fine.

Sounds like he was just sick to start with. Sometimes it just happens, at no fault of your own. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Something similar happened to me. Both my fish were lying on the sand and rocks, and gasping. I discovered that the filter was turned off for an entire day after I did a water change. I managed to save them though.

So sorry for your loss of a beautiful fish.
