I have a tailspot blenny that has a bloated stomach. Normally he gets this when I don't give algae sheets often enough. So I've been adding a bit each day. He's been like this awhile and it's not getting better and now my watchman goby appears to have it. Clowns are still fine. Was thinking metroplex and focus with some selcon. Or I can get some general cure. I have pellets and frozen. I also have prazipro and kanaplex and furan 2.

What is the step by step to using this? Is it even the correct treatment? I have crabs, snails, anemone I assume I have to keep from eating this, how do I do that? Can't find the blenny at the moment, he hides pretty well

Mixing food + General Cure + Focus works pretty good in the display tank. Especially if you can feed small amounts directly to the fish and use a turkey baster to remove uneaten food mix.
Great question on the Selcon. I have and use a bottle that's pretty old.

Nope. Here's the mix method for General Cure + Focus + food

Using a shot glass or very small bowl/dish:
1 scoop (use the scoop that comes with Focus) (~ 1/8 teaspoon) of General Cure
1 scoop Seachem Focus (this makes it reef safe)
1 tbsp food (preferably pellets or frozen food)
A pinch of Epsom salt to help expel dead worms/parasites
A few drops of saltwater or fish vitamins ( I prefer Beta Glucan)
Stir until a medicated food slurry has been achieved
Feed after soaking for 30 mins
Refrigerate or freeze any leftovers for future use

How much do I feed each day? My fish are small but can eat like pigs. I assume I feed each day for 2-3 weeks? Just a note, I've never seen stringy poop from any of them.

If I can't source general cure will metroplex/kanaplex substitute?

Feed the mix once a day for up to 30 days.

General Cure is prazi + metro. Prazi kills some parasites but not all; metro kills the ones prazi does not cover.

I think the Epsom salt will be the best bet.
If its constapation that should help the most.
The meds for parasite wont hurt.

So, it appears general cure is out of stock everywhere except eBay. Is my only other option to set up a qt and use prazipro?

Ordered from eBay. Finally got order. When mixing with pellets, is it normal for the pellets to turn to mush and the mix to become mud? If I mix with frozen, do I strain it after mixing so none of the meds that are not attached to food enter the tank? Or am I over thinking it.

Question on using the focus, the box says use in a 5:1 ration but 1tbs to 1/8 tsp is way far from the 5:1 ration on the box. Or do I ignore the box directions

i just ordered gc from kensfish.com 8.99 for a pack of 10. first time i ordered from them.

Good to know. The cheapest I found was eBay(cheapest with good feedback, I paid $26 for 1 package. What I got was 2, so bonus.

2 days into feeding the mix as prescribed above, my tailspot blenny is having 1-2" brown movements. My other fish I have not noticed any difference, although none had long movements before so....

I will have to mix a fresh batch everyday as my blenny won't eat the meaty foods. I will mix a batch, add a small piece of algae, then feed. Is 1 cm square enough for my ~2" blenny daily for treatment? He picks at glass/rocks all day.

@ Big G , can I mix less than 1tbsp of food, say 1 piscine mysis cube and a small piece of nori with the 1 scoop meds/1 scoop focus? Or would that be too much meds? I just have 4 ~2" fish and 1tbsp food is like 4 days worth
