So I got a call from a friend saying he is taking down his tank. He will be moving, fixing his floor, and selling his house ect... he told me he used dog heart dewormer for some xenia or something which made his tank crash. I picked up a few corals and some fish that survived the procedure. A blue than tang and a kole tang.

Kole tang had a very slim body but a bloated stomach. He also looked like his mouth was stuck on open all the time. He has been in QT since last night and seems to be moving his mouth now. But still mostly opened. Not eating think it's just mostly from him being in a new tank.

The blue looks a lot better. They are not showing any signs of ich. Right now they are being treated with pazipro just to get that treatment out of the way. What do you guys thing this is?

Is he eating? If so, you can try feeding a peeled boiled green pea to help push things out (maybe it is just constipation?)

Bristletooth tangs also consume sand to aid in digestion of their food. So, it might not be a bad idea to put some sand in a glass bowl in there for him.

Will try do feed it peas then. Wouldn't the sand absorb the prozipro?

My Kole tang has had a similar bulge for close to year and I'm not sure what it is but seems to be growing over time. My uneducated guess is that it's some kind of a tummor.
