Bloated wrasse

My wrasse has been bloated for months. Tried Epsom salt as a laxative and an anti parasitic. No change.

Addition…he looked looking me he was dying so I gently squeezed his huge abdomen. A large amount of thin blue liquid came shooting from his vent! What is this?

Was it blue green? That is bile and that with the bloating implies ascites from liver failure. Sorry, but if that is the case, there isn’t anything you can do.

To me it looked bright blue, but that makes sense. When he was up and swimming around I could see pockets of blue on his abdomen and thought he was stretched so tight his scales were starting to “stand up.”
