Blocking Light From My Sump

I will be upgrading my tank next month and the stand I have is open and will allow light from the sump to hit the bottom of my tank. What does everyone use to block light from their sump?

Thanks for your response. That's an option I am considering as I painted my current tank. Im just looking for other options.
