This blonde naso just got introduced into the display tank after month of qt 2 days ago. I think these are stress spots but after two days they are still there. All other fish are doing well with no sign of anything. The tang is still very active and eating. Just wanted to make sure.

Unless that is a super tiny Naso, those look way too big and oblong to be ich.

Did you treat for anything while you QT'd, or just observed? It could be the fish was carrying something that didn't flare up until the stress of a tank with fish, but I don't know....

What other fish are in the tank with it? What size is the display tank?

He was treated with copper and prazi. He is about 5 inches. The tank is a 540 with a queen angel and blue troat trigger. Both fish are under 5 inches. These were the first 3 fish in after the tank went through it's cycle.

Naso get stress spots from nearly everything. They commonly show these spots when their gills are damaged from parasites, also if they have ich or some parasite inserting on the fish, and also if you look at them wrong.

How long did you treat in copper? At what level? How was it measured?

It was treated for 30 days with copper power at 1.6 and tested with a Hanna checker. I'm just hoping this is just stress.

The tang still has the marks on him. He isn't showing any other sign of sickness .Very active eating well. No scratching or anything. Can I just chalk it up to stress? It's been a week could they still be there?

Cody,

I just put a Tang in my DT from 5 weeks in QT that had the same spots as your Tang. What happened to your Tang?

Thanks!

I just bought a tang and he has been quarantined at the lfs, I trust them. Mine has the same spots I only got him yesterday. They are stress spots my last naso has it to them was fine. How is he doing?
