Blonde naso tang 4 in

So I got a blonde naso tang ,he was super fat at the LFS . But he hasn't eaten at all . Now ,he is getting skinny . He also is super shy the first days he was in the tank it was swimming a lot ,now he is hiding because I moved some rocks around and doesn't come out much , just looks around then back in the cave . His color became this dark gray with white spots not ick because I've seen it before and it's different .

I did and I think he got more terrified . I took it out ,now he goes where the clip was so I put algae on a rock with a rubber band. But not eating yet .

Is he breathing heavy?

The only time my naso stopped eating is when he picked up flukes. I know prazi is supposed to suppress appetite, but one day after dosing he was eating again. If this is a QT it is worth checking for signs of flukes.

Any new Naso can be a challenge, but once they settle in they are really hardy.

I bought one in May. He is my only picky fish. He has always liked nori on a clip but only the red kind and he'll eat flakes and pellets. I have never been able to get him to eat any kind of frozen food. He chases it then turns away. Seems like you are on the right track. Lots of variety and hopefully he'll find something he likes. I like to soak the food in selcon before I feed them especially while in QT.
The color change is a normal response to stress. The also do it at night when they are sleeping.

Leave nori clip in there. My cow blonde naso (fat cow I call her) hides any time she sees me. She hates my guts even after a year.

She eats nori when she cannot see me. This is how tangs get healthy and fat. Need nori to graze on through the day.

+1 Nasos are gentle giants, they generally don't fight back like other tangs do.

Its a 180 g 72x24x24 in . Flow i have a rw-15 max and i will be getting another soon.
