Blood Orange Clownfish Temperament

The Blood Orange is a hybrid of the common ocellaris and the maroon. Every fish has an individual personality. While the Blood Orange MAY be more peaceful than a maroon, don't count on it. Its mother is a maroon and those nasty genes are still there.;)

I've had my Blood orange for 5 months now and it's pretty mellow, but maybe it cause my Clarkii keeps it line:D

I have about 6 of them and they are pretty standard as far as clown aggression, I'd say pretty average to not so aggressive.

The Blood Orange was produced by ORA and probably the best answer is on their site. Here's a quote: "The Blood Orange Clownfish inherits desirable qualities from both parent species: large finnage of the Maroon and thick barring outlined with black from the Ocellaris. The offspring exhibit hybrid vigor as well as a unique red color. Their temperament seems to be somewhere between the Ocellaris and the Goldstripe Maroon, so care should be taken when choosing tankmates."

Can you post a picture? I'd love to see 6 mature fish together.

Be prepared for them to be on the aggressive side, and if they are not as aggressive as expected consider that a bonus.
